Semifinal Breakdown

No. 1 Columbia vs No. 5 William Woods

William Woods was the only road team to pull out a win in the AMC Quarterfinals. They now meet up with their self-proclaimed rival, Columbia, a team they just beat 14 days ago. Columbia, the AMC Co-Champions, have the AMC’s leading scorer in Tony Burks. Burks had 18 points in the QF win over Lyon and has been in double figures in all but two games this season. Nathan Schwartze is coming off of a 33pt outburst in the QF win against Williams Baptist. Jared Crutcher also had a big game with 15pts, 14rebs and 7assts. The Owls have talent, to pull off the road upset today, they are going to need some more big offensive performances!

No. 2 Missouri Baptist vs No. 3 Central Baptist

AMC Player of the Year, Brendon Hardy and Missouri Baptist enter into this game on a 5 game win streak. Central Baptist has caused them some issues this season though as they lost to them in late January and only beat them by a point in December. CBC is a pretty balanced squad offensively, led by Brevin Brimble. The Mustangs have won 4 straight games now and seem to be clicking. This has the makings of one of the better games of the day!
