Semifinals Breakdown

No. 1 Olivet Nazarene vs No. 4 IU South Bend

ONU got 27pts from Tyler Schmidt and 25pts from Barik Olden in the opening round as they cruised to the 88-64 win over 8-seeded Holy Cross. IUSB was in a much more highly contested game as the Titans came storming back to defeat St Francis, 51-50. Donyell Meredith scored 26 of the Titans 51pts. These two teams have had some BATTLES over the years and IUSB actually has gotten the best of ONU in the CCAC Tourney. This year, in their only matchup of the season, ONU got the 65-62 win on their home court.

No. 2 Saint Xavier vs No. 6 IU Northwest

SXU got big games from Kevin Bishop and Jack Halverson in the opening round as they were able to hold off a furious comeback attempt to beat Governors State, 78-74. IU Northwest pulled off the only upset of the CCAC Quarterfinals as they knocked off 3-seed, Roosevelt. Northwest used a balance scoring attack from Malik Miller, Isaac Stanback and Ladaion Barnes to get the 74-68 upset. Tonight, Jared Johnson will need to show up if IUN wants to pull off a 2nd upset of a top seed!
