Top Players to Watch

Alex Gross, ONU – 22.8ppg, 14.2rpg, 5.4apg and also leads the country in blocked shots with 99. Quite possible the National Player of the Year. He is the 2x defending National Player of the Week and the big man already has a couple triple-doubles on the season.

Tyler Schmidt, ONU – Has really been good this season for ONU. 3rd in the CCAC in scoring at 19.5ppg, 9th in blocked shots, 5th in FG%.

Lorenzo Anderson, Judson – 2nd in the CCAC in scoring at 22.3ppg. Has 4 games with 30 or more points this season including a 45pt outing against Saint Xavier earlier this season. Electric, electric scorer!

Dylan Allen, IUSB – 14.4ppg, 4.2rpg, 3.2apg. Allen has been an electric guard for the past few years. He is a tough scorer who can hurt teams in a lot of different ways. He is also a tough defender as well who often guards the other teams best guard.

Donyell Meredith, IUSB – 13.7ppg,5.7rpg, 2.9apg. Tough scrappy guard. Donyell is one of the most consistent players you will see. Brings his hard hat and just hoops.

Darnell Latham Jr – Lincoln – 18ppg, 3.7rpg, 2.9apg. Latham, when he gets cooking, is one of the hardest players to guard in the NAIA. He is capable of going for 40 on any given night and did so twice this season.

Jared Johnson, IU Northwest – 16.1ppg, 8.9rpg, 4.6apg. Jared has been a huge part of this IUN teams success this season. He is a forces around the rim, but is also a nice threat on the perimeter.

Underdog to win CCAC Title

Lincoln – They have a tough road, but when you have a scorer like Darnell Latham Jr., who doesn’t want his career to end, you can usually expect a special performance as they will their team to a couple upset wins. It may take a few of those performances for Lincoln to advance, but just something to keep an eye on.

IU Northwest – They open with that Lincoln team above. Jared Johnson may lead the team in scoring, but this is a team that has 4 guys averaging in double-figures and has the depth to make a deep run in this tournament.
