Tournament Favorite

Union – They have won 8 straight AAC Tournaments, they go for #9 this week! They also ran away with their 8th straight AAC Regular Season Championship. Finishing 3 games up on 2nd place.

Players To Watch

Markell Turner, Union – Reigning AAC Player of the Year. 5th in scoring this season at 21.4ppg. He is also 2nd in assists at 5.1apg. The do it all guard was a 1st team All-American last season.

Noah Dunn, Montreat – The 6’4, 240lb Dunn has been a real force in the AAC once again this season. 3rd in the AAC in scoring at 21.9ppg.

Andre Silva, Union – The Sophomore has been a real force defensively and on the glass. Leads the AAC in rpg at 11.1.

Coby Jones, Johnson (TN) – AAC Leading Scorer at 24.5ppg

Kristian Collins, Reinhardt – One of the better Forwards in the AAC. Averages 13.5ppg, 4.5rpg.

Jermiah Jenkins, Bluefield – 4th in the AAC in scoring at 21.6ppg.

Brandon Thomas, Bryan – Been a staple for Bryan the past few years. Very underrated player. 7th in the AAC in scoring, 5th in Rebounds and 2nd in FG%.

Corey Bowen, Point – 12th in the AAC in scoring at 14.9ppg.

Lorenzo Freeman Jr, Point – 13th in the AAC in scoring at 14.3ppg.

Ty Patterson, TN Wesleyan – Another 6’4 260lb player in this league that is a force. Averaging 13.7ppg

Bryan Bernard, TN Wesleyan – One of the best two way players in the AAC. He’s top 15 in the AAC in ppg, apg and spg!

Darrian Oates, CIU – 10th in the AAC in scoring.

Isaac Clay, St Andrews – 2nd leading scorer in the AAC at 22.8ppg. Has 10, 30+pt games on the season.

Underdog Team To Win AAC Tournament

Reinhardt – Winners of 7 of their last 8 games. Only loss in that stretch was a 4pt loss to Union. They have the veteran leadership and toughness to win the AAC Tournament.

Tennessee Wesleyan – Limping into the tournament a bit as they lost 3 of their last 5 games. However, this Bulldog team was once RV in the NAIA Top 25 and were a Top 3 team in the AAC for most of the season. They are the 7-seed, but a team to keep an eye on to make a run!
