NAIA Schedule & Links, Games of the Day, Five Players to Watch: Feb. 6th

Saturday, February 6th NAIA Games
Games of the Day:
6 Shawnee State @ RV Cumberlands 4pm ET Live Video
Cumberlands is coming off a BIG win at #20 Thomas More. The Mid-South is so deep and it doesn’t get any easier for Cumberlands as they host #6 Shawnee State later this afternoon. Tevin Olison is one of the most talented players in the country when he wants to be, he took over the game against Thomas More. He will need to continue that today against a Shawnee State team that is so good defensively. EJ Onu and James Jones will look to lead Shawnee State to their 17th win in a row.
22 Bethel @ McPherson 7pm CT Live Video
Bethel holds a 1 game lead on OKWU in the KCAC Standings with four games left. A big road win awaits them today as they visit a McPherson team who has won 10 of their last 11 games. Bethel is led by stud Jaylon Scott who averages a double-double for the Threshers. McPherson will be looking to get a big home win, to stay in the hunt for a KCAC Regular Season crown. A win will also help with their seeding in the KCAC Tournament. This should be a great game today!
Montana Tech @ 10 Providence 7pm MT Live Video
The two best teams in the Frontier Conference go head to head today. While Providence is still running away from the conference in the standings, this will be a tough test for them tonight. This game also features a battle between two stud All-Americans in Zachheus Darko-kelly of Providence and Sindou Diallo. Diallo has been a stud for Tech the past couple seasons and will look to lead the Orediggers to a big upset tonight.
Five Players To Watch

– 4th in the NAIA in APG with 6.67
– 4th in the NAIA in PPG at 26.0
– 4th in the NAIA in SPG at 3.0
Â
The All-American can flat GO! He is so dynamic in so many different ways as a player. He is another player out on the West Coast that doesn’t get the love he should. He is so talented and so unselfish. He competes hard and hates losing. If you have never seen him play, you should!

– 3rd in the NAIA in 3FG% at 59.4%
– 5th in the NAIA in 3FGM per game with 3.8
– 36th in the NAIA in SPG with 2.1
– 38th in the NAIA in FG% at 59%
Sellee is one of the best pure shooters in the NAIA. He is a versatile shooter as well, not just a catch and shoot guy. As you can see by his numbers he has been burning up the nets this season so far.Â

– 6th in the NAIA in DRPG with 8.7
– 6th in the NAIA in RPG with 11.0
– 8th in the NAIA in Total Rebounds
– 46th in the NAIA in Total Steals
Jaylon averages a double-double at 16.06pts and 11.0 boards per game. He’s been good in the Bethel press this season, but has been even more dominant on the defensive glass. He’s got a huge motor and the Junior is starting to make a big name for himself!

– 3rd in the NAIA in FT% at 94.6%
– 4th in the NAIA in DRPG with 8.875
– 7th in the NAIA in APG with 6.0
– 13th in the NAIA in BPG with 2.0
– 13th in the NAIA in RPG with 10.375
– 27th in the NAIA in PPG with 20.625
The truth?!? As sick as these numbers are, if ZDK wasn’t in foul trouble most games, these numbers would be even better. He is SO, SO dang good. He doesn’t get all the press as publicity as Mangas does, but ZDK is one of the best players in the country.Â

– 3rd in the NAIA in BPG at 3.6
– 7th in the NAIA in Total Blocks
– 12th in the NAIA in RPG with 10.5
– 13th in the NAIA in DRPG with 7.9
– 15th in the NAIA in FG% at 64.3%
– 36th in the NAIA in FT% at 85,4%
– 36th in the NAIA in PPG with 19.9
There is not enough good things you could say about Alex Gross. One of the best BIGs in the NAIA. He is a force on both sides of the ball and can take over games inside. He has already dominated some of the best BIGs at the NAIA level this season and is a guy who seem to just get better and better.Â
