Pretty healthy schedule this Friday the 13th! With a combination of Classics and conference games, we actually will have a pretty busy weekend.
RV Southeastern (FL) @ Coastal Georgia 7:30pm ET
A Sun Conference matchup between two tough teams. Riley Minix and Isaiah Moody will look to lead the Fire to 2-0 in The Sun Conference. Jordan Parks and Coastal Georgia will look to carry the momentum off of a big win against Warner (FL) into another upset here.
#16 Loyola (LA) @ #13 LSU – Alexandria 7:00pm CT
A BIG Top 25 matchup down in Louisiana tonight. Loyola is coming off a Top 25 win against #20 Xavier (LA) while LSUA suffered a tough loss against a tough Mobile team. LSUA have almost never been beat at The Fort, in the past five years of being a NAIA program. This game should be fast, with a lot of points being scored. Loyola is led by All-Americans Myles Burns and Zach Wrightsil and a win should put them into the NAIA Top 10 when the rankings come out on Wednesday. Jordan Adebutu and Brandon Ellis will look to keep LSUA ranked inside the Top 25 with a big Top 25 win.
Isaiah Moody 5’10 Sr G Southeastern (FL) – 13.5ppg/3.9apg
Super Sophomore Riley Minix leads the team in points, rebounds, and blocks. However, Moody is the Senior leader on this team, and will fill it up right along side of Riley.
Jordan Adubutu 6’2 Sr G LSU- Alexandria – 31ppg/2rpg
Jordan currently ranks 3rd in the country in 3pt FG Made per game, and is 6th in points per game. He is a big time scorer who will let it fly from all over the court.
Myles Burns 6’6 Jr. W/F Loyola (LA) – 15.0PPG/9RPG
2X NAIA All-American, and as a Junior, he is already on his way to three straight All-American seasons. Myles fits well within that Loyola system, and his high motor makes him tough to stop.
Kenneth Santos 6’2 Jr G Florida National – 21.3ppg/4.7rpg
Has consistently been one of the best shooters in NAIA over his career. Coach JJ gets these guys to play hard, and Santos lets it fly.
Omar Boone 5’10 Sr G Mid-America Christian (OK) – 19.7ppg/4.3apg/2.33spg
The Senior Transfer from NCAA D2 Newman is on a terror through his first three games for MACU. The Guard is shooting a blistering 80% from the field and is 72% from 3 on 11 attempts. Boone has added some fire power to a good MACU team, that will be looking to move to 4-0 tonight.
