Heading into the last week of the regular season in NAIA DII. Here is how the conference tournament seeding currently looks like!

Appalachian Athletic Conference

  • 8 Teams Qualify for AAC Tournament
    • Union defeated Montreat to move back into 1st place! Both teams have looked like the Top 2 teams in the league for most of the season. However, neither have looked unbeatable. The AAC Tournament could be a really interesting one. One team to watch, and it’s not a lock for them to make it into the AAC tourney yet, but Tennessee Wesleyan has now won 8 straight games, including a win AT Union. They currently sit as the 6 seed in the tournament. The conference wraps up action this Saturday!

The win moved them into the 3 Seed. Multnomah had a chance to lock up their first CCC playoff birth last Saturday, but a home loss to Corban, has now given Corban new life. Neither team has an easy path over these next two games, but Corban does get two home games, while Multnomah has to go to Southern Oregon, and to Oregon Tech.

While the Top 3 teams are sitting pretty, the 5th-9th place teams right now are separated by just 2 games, and a loss can move you back 3-4 spots in the standings, and could even mean your playing for your postseason life on Saturday.

The rest of the GPAC is up for a BIG week, as they are another league that has almost every seed up for grabs. One of the more interesting story lines in the GPAC will be the 8 seed. Hastings currently sits 1 game up on both Briar Cliff, and Midland. You have some big time Seniors, who’s careers will be coming to an end this week.

River States Conference

  • 8 Teams Qualify for River States Tournament
    • WVU Tech continues to be the best team in the River States, as they picked up two more wins this past week. Currently, this is the only league that splits into two divisions, so the Tournament format is fun in the 1st round, as these teams will only have seen each other one time this season.
    • Current Matchups:
      • E1 WVU Tech (14-1) vs. W4 Midway (6-8)
      • W1 IU Kokomo (12-2) vs. E4 Ohio Christian (5-9)

The win moves them a half game up over Keiser for 1st place with a chance to clinch the regular season Sun Conference Title with a win on Saturday over Ave Maria. Florida Memorial is the only team outside of the current seeds, that can still play itself in. However, they travel to Keiser on Wednesday, so it will be no easy task this week.
    • Current Matchups:
      • 1. Southeastern (14-3) Bye
      • 2. Keiser (13-3) Bye
      • 3. Ave Maria (12-5) vs. 6. Coastal Georgia(7-9)

Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference

    • After a BIG week for Indiana Tech, they are now in 1st place in the WHAC with two games to go. One win out of their last two will clinch a regular season title. UNOH has snuck into the 8th seed for now, and will have a BIG matchup on Wednesday vs. Aquinas who is 1 of 3 teams nipping at their feet for that final seed. Cornerstone has now won 3 in a row, and will have a chance on Saturday to take a 4 game win streak into the WHAC Tournament. Kim Elders is a NAIA Hall of Fame coach, and I would not count out this Cornerstone team in the Tournament.
    • Current Matchups:
      • 1. Indiana Tech (14-4) vs. 8. UNOH (6-12)
      • 2. Lourdes (12-6) vs. 7. Sierra Heights (9-8)
