Opening Round Breakdown
No. 4 UC Merced vs No. 5 CSU Maritime
UC Merced is led by Kingsley Obiorah and Mason Westlake. Westlake is one of the best shooters in the NAIA and is the All-Time leading scorer in program history. CSU Maritime is led by Miles Pennington and Lunden Taylor. The two teams split their regular season games with both games being less than 10pt wins. The winner will face off against Top-seeded Antelope Valley.
No. 3 Westcliff vs No. 6 Simpson
Simpson has a lot of tradition inside the CalPac while Westcliff is fairly new to the league. Westcliff will lean on Abdul Abdullah, Gary Harris and Cap Uzan. Simpson will counter with Javonntie Jackson and Drey Ubas. Westcliff won the only full game these two played this season. The other game was forfeited in the middle of the game after a player collapsed due to catching an elbow to the face. Winner will face off against the 2-seed, Saint Katherine.
