Men’s Games of the Day

3:15pm: IU Kokomo vs No. 19 Union

This Kokomo team is tough and will get after it defensively. It will be interesting to see what the gameplan is to try and slow down Markelle Turner is. Turner has been on one of his terrors of late and Terrill Hamilton has been really good as well. Kokomo is so good at controlling the pace of play though and Hunter White has been the leader of the pack this year in his new role. I imagine they will look to slow the pace down to make Union uncomfortable. A fun battle between teams with contrasting styles of play.

8pm: 4 College of Idaho vs RV Madonna

College of Idaho is battle tested. They are also at home. However, Madonna is back to full strength which means that Henry Speight and Mark Mettie will provide a handful for the Yotes to try and stop. Brendan Young has also been a real problem for teams this season.  If College of Idaho can get their patented defense set early, they should be fine. However, Mettie, Speight and Young provide a big power trio that can cause the Yotes some problems. Two teams, who are looking to make return trips to the NAIA National Tourney so this should be a fun one!

Women’s Games of the Day

2pm: 5 Clarke @ 6 Central Methodist

Heart of America isn’t messing around as these two Heart favorites get to go at it early in league play. Both teams have had a tough schedule thus far and neither will come in to this one timid. Neither team is shy about putting some points on the board, so expect this one to have some fun pace to it. Both of these teams have National Title aspirations, and this game should have the feel of a Fab Four type game!

6pm: 11 Wayland Baptist @ D2 CSU-Pueblo

Typically we like to keep these games between two NAIA programs, but Wayland just beat a D2 last night and now faces off with the home team in the classsic, CSU Pueblo, to go for the D2 weekend sweep! Kaitlyn Edgemon balled out last night going for 26pts in their big win. Jenna Cooper-Jackson stuffed the stat sheet with a 16/6/4/3 line. Big opportunity for Wayland tonight!
