AMC Standings

AMC Notes

• Missouri Baptist are your AMC Regular Season Champions. They will be the 1-seed in the AMC Tournament. The Tournament Champion will be the lone auto-bid representative for the AMC.
• The rest of the seeding is still being played out this week. Big week for William Woods and CBC particularly. A big win against MoBap could give Woods the 3-seed, but a loss could move them down to 5th.

AAC Standings

AAC Notes

• Union is 1 win away from clinching another AAC Regular Season Title. They have owned the AAC Regular Season and Tournament Titles. Winning the Regular Season Title would make it 8 of past 9 seasons and they will carry their 8 straight tournament titles into the AAC tournament as well.
• The interesting story lines are behind Union though. The battle for the 2-seed has really heated up as Montreat, who took the lead in the AAC Standings 2 weeks ago, now find themselves needing wins to try and capture the 2-seed! Reinhardt is playing their best ball of the season though. The 4-7 seeds are a mess at the moment, a lot of similar teams who haven’t found separation. Big week ahead for seeding!

ARIZONA

CalPac Notes

• Each of the 3 division winners, plus 3 other teams selected, will make the CalPac Tournament. There is an excellent breakdown put out on the CalPac website that is better than anything we can type up, so please go read it!
• Postseason Race Comes Down to the Final Week | California Pacific Conference (calpacathletics.com)

CASCADE NOTES

• We have our 8 qualifiers for the CCC Tournament, while seeding is still being worked out this week, at least we know who is in!
• Big Congrats also to Multnomah, who qualified for the postseason for the first time in program history! They also got their 1st ever win over Oregon Tech on Friday night. A tip in, at the buzzer for the upset road win!

CCAC Notes

• Olivet and IUSB have both locked up auto-bids to the NAIA National Tournament. IUSB can technically still win the CCAC Regular Season Title, but even if they don’t they will get the regular season runner-up auto-bid!
• IU Northwest locked up the 3-seed. An important deal as now if ONU, IUSB wins they CCAC Tournament, they too will advance to the NAIA National Tournament.

CAC Notes

• We now know the 8 teams that will qualify for the CAC Tournament in Mt Pleasant, Iowa.
• Seeding and bracket should be out later this week.
• We will wait for the CAC official announcement to post!

Crossroads Notes

• Indiana Wesleyan has officially won the Crossroads League Regular Season Title!
• Still a lot going on in the league this week for seeding purposes. Marian is 1 game up for the 2-seed. Grace and MVNU are in a battle for the 4-seed. MVNU has to face Marian and IWU this week though!

Frontier Notes

• Carroll won the big matchup this week over Montana Tech. The two may end up being co-champions, but as things stand right now, the win gives Carroll the tie-breaker for the Frontier Conference Regular Season Title Bid and the 1-seed in the Frontier Conference Tournament. A lot can change this week, but Carroll controls it’s own destiny!
• We see upsets in league tournaments all the time, but the Frontier Conference has turned into a two team race and it looks like that will be the case in the tournament as well.

GCAC Notes

• The GCAC remains an interesting league this year. Both basketball wise and otherwise. Tougaloo and Philander Smith remain the top two teams, they square off tonight. But with EWC hosting the tournament, the 1 auto-bid really could go to anyone.

GPAC Notes

• We keep getting asked how many teams we think the GPAC gets into the National Tournament. Usually it is a National Power Conference, but the GPAC has been interesting this season. This year however, they have really struggled out of conference. League leader, Briar Cliff, started off the week losing to a Peru State that is needing help just to qualify for the Heart Tournament. Then they ended the week by thrashing Jamestown. Just been an interesting year in the GPAC this year.
• With that said, Briar Cliff is 1 win away from an outright GPAC Regular Season Title. They have two tough road games this week, first one is at CUNE. Then they finish the regular season with a trip to Doane.
• If CUNE can beat Briar Cliff on Thursday, they will have to go to the Corn Palace to knock off Dakota Wesleyan for a shot to overtake Briar Cliff for the GPAC Title.

GSAC Notes

• The GSAC Game of the Week went to Arizona Christian. As William Jessup goes 0-2 on their Arizona trip. They were without standout Myles Corey, but the two losses now gives ACU a commanding 1.5 game lead headed into this week.
• OUAZ’s win over Jessup may have been the one that puts them into the NAIA National Tournament. They are now winners of 6 straight!

South

Heart Notes

• William Penn won their 6th Heart Regular Season Title in the past 7 seasons.
• The Heart South is starting to thin out as Baker struggled this past week, opening up the standings a bit.
• Looks like that Park and Peru St could come down to the wire to see who gets the final playoff spot in the Heart.

KCAC Notes

• Oklahoma Wesleyan has officially won the KCAC Regular Season Title and punched their ticket to the NAIA National Championships.
• Seeding in the KCAC is a nightmare right now. A lot to work out this week.

Mid-South Notes

• Thomas More won it’s first Mid-South Regular Season Crown. The win also punches their ticket into the NAIA National Championships!
• Georgetown’s loss to Life this past weekend has now made it possible that they could end up the 3-seed in the tournament. It is a battle between them and UT Southern for the 2-seed.
• Cumberlands (KY) is red hot right now, winners of 5 straight and the MSC’s longest win streak.

NSAA Notes

• This League Here…
• I could just leave it as that, but man, the North Star went bonkers again this week and trying to figure out the who, what, where, when, why of this league is enough to make your brain hurt.
• With that, it should be a really fun tournament to watch! Seriously won’t shock us if any of the 8 win the tournament.

RRAC Notes

• The RRAC still has 2 weeks left of regular season, their league Tournament starts the 27th, so a lot can still happen.
• Paul Quinn may just end up winning the RRAC Regular Season Title. Coming off a big road win over No. 23 TAMUT.
• Shreveport and Xavier in a battle in the East, with LSUA lurking. LSUS and LSU A battle again on the 22nd.

RSC Notes

• IU Kokomo has now won 13 straight and moved into the NAIA Top 25.
• Alice Lloyd continues to drop games, the latest one was to Oakland City this past weekend.
• WVU Tech continues to win without the services of Tamon Scruggs.
• The RSC is all about the Tournament though. So seeding continues to be important. Going to be a fun week as teams try to position themselves!

SAC Notes

• USAO continues to ride the waive as they remain in 1st place and have now won 7 straight games.
• SAGU and USAO continue to look like the Top 2 teams in the league. SAGU has had a couple of hiccups, but ultimately these two will be the favorites to win the SAC Tourney.
• MACU will be hosting the SAC Tourney though, so don’t count them out either! More on that when our Tournament Previews are launched.

SSAC Notes

• Loyola jumped into sole possession of 1st place with their big win over Talladega this past weekend. One of the best games of the season in the NAIA.
• Both Loyola and Talladega rank 1-2 in the NETEFF Ratings. The game lived up to the hype and we get Round 2 early next week. Don’t be surprised if we even see Round 3 in the SSAC Tournament!
