Another big-time weekend in the NAIA hoops world! Some programs are running away with league titles, while most leagues are starting to tighten up! It is crazy to think that most teams are down to just their final 5-6 games of the regular season! A lot still up for grabs, but we are starting the sprint to the finish!

  • Game of the Day Recap
    • MidAmerica Nazarene defeated Grand View 95-80. While the win helps keep them in the Heart playoff race, it was more importantly win #800 for one of the greatest coaches at any level in Rocky Lamar. (Recap)
  • The NAIA’s Active Winningest Career Wins Leader and 2014 NAIA Hall of Fame inductee, Coach Rocky Lamar, is in his final season as a Head Coach. He has been named the Heart Coach of the Year seven times and NAIA Coach of the Year once. His teams have won 13 conference titles, have reached the National Tournament 18 times and have made the NAIA Fab Four seven times with one National Championship (2007, and one National Runner-Up (2001)!!! A true legend of the sport and great ambassador for NAIA basketball!

      • Cool story here: Malyk Thomas, who hit the game winner, was actually a guy who sat out last season with what they thought was a career ending injury. He joined the WPU coaching staff for the season to stay around his teammates and finish his degree. He ended up getting cleared to start this season and last night, gets the game winner!
