Before we dive into last night’s incredible action, we want to once again say a big thank you to you all for helping us pass 18,000 followers on Twitter. It has been an honor to help shine light on such a great level of basketball. It has been such a quick journey since we started NAIA Hoops Report three years ago and while our coverage has grown, there is so, so much more we want to do! For now though, thank you ALL so much for making the articles and coverage worth it!

  • Men’s Game of the Day Recaps
    • rv Alice LLoyd 64 – WVU Tech 62 (Box Score)
      • This is everything you want in a big-time matchup liked this (minus no Tamon Scruggs for WVU Tech). This game was fun, intense and was just a knockdown, drag out, who wants it more type of game. Alice Lloyd came in with the Nation’s longest win streak at 17 games. WVU Tech had the 3rd longest win streak at 14 games. WVU took their biggest lead of the game with a little over 7 minutes left in the game, but Alice Lloyd would once again make a run, as they did all game long. This time the run led to a Will Philpot tip-in with 8 seconds left and WVU missed the ensuing layup as Alice Lloyd gets the big RSC Win and takes over 1st place!
    • #14 LSU Alexandria 88 – #19 Xavier – 82 (Recap)
      • Xavier was once again without the services of 1st Team All-American, Rayshawn Mart. He hasn’t played since the semester break, which is usually not a good sign. Hopefully his great career isn’t over. Alexandria once again rode the dynamic duo of Jakemin Abney and AJ Rainey who combined for 52 points in the win. LSU Alexandria is in the drivers seat, once again, in the Red River Athletic Conference.
    • #4 William Jessup 86 – #18 Hope International 84 (Recap)
      • We don’t always get our GOTD correct, but boy did we have some good ones last night and this was a heck of a game to end the slate on late on the West Coast. HIU stormed out of the gate hot, taking a double digit lead. Jessup though, kept chipping away and took just their 2nd lead of the game with 2 minutes left. They held a 3pt lead late when Charles Neal continued his big night with a game tying 3 with just 7 seconds left. However, Jessup quickly came down the court and Tim Strijaous got the lay in to win it for the Warriors! Two really good teams that are going to be tough outs come March!
