Last night was a big night for individual performances as we saw many players go for 30+pts on the Men’s side. We also had quite a few big games as teams battle for conference championships. Sure, covid is still taking a toll and postponing/cancelling games, BUT the games that ARE being played, continue to be great ones!

  • Game of the Day Review
    • Roosevelt 69 – IU Northwest 65
      • Roosevelt blasted out to a big lead in this one and were able to hold on late to give them sole possession of 3rd place in the CCAC. I don’t know the full story here, but if you want a kid to start paying attention to then look no further than Roosevelt Freshman guard, Trenton Kyler. Here is a kid who barely played to start the season, then, on December 18th, he busts onto the scene and has led the Lakers in scoring in five straight games. He also now leads the team in scoring. In this one he finished the game with 19pts and 5rebs to help the Lakers get the big win!
    • Briar Cliff 81 – #11 Jamestown 79
      • If they haven’t already (by the looks of the GPAC coaches poll, they haven’t) put the GPAC on notice yet, then last night the Chargers for sure did as they head into Jamestown, ND and leave with a BIG GPAC road win! The win was their 5th straight and they now have wins @ #11 Jamestown, vs #25 CUNE, @ RV Northwestern and vs Morningside. Despite some early season losses, the Chargers have been on a terror as of late and as the leader of the GPAC, they have some good road wins already that has them in prime position for a GPAC regular season title.

  • Women’s Game of the Day Review
    • RV St Ambrose 109 – Olivet Nazarene 100
      • St Ambrose remained tied for 1st place in the CCAC with a big road win over Olivet Nazarene. The Bees were led by Kylie Wroblewski with 33pts. The win gave the Bees their 12th straight win. A game that was all squared up at the half, but St Ambrose won both the 3rd and 4th quarters to pull away for the win.
