Men’s Games of the Day
RV Union vs Campbellsville 4pm CT
A neutral site game between the favorites to win the AAC (Union) and a 3-1 Campbellsville team that is looking to have a bounce back season after a down year last year. Peyton Broughton has stormed out of the gates to lead the Tigers with 21.8ppg. The D1 transfer will look to keep the momentum going as he faces off against 1st Team All-American, Markell Turner. Turner is the Nations returning leading scorer from last season and is already off to hot start this year averaging 24.7ppg thru the teams 1st three games. This would be a nice win for both teams in this one!
#15 USAO @ Texas A&M Texarkana – 7pm CT
Both teams qualified for the NAIA National Tournament last season. Texarkana comes in 1-0 with a win over Lyon. A game that garnered Kobe Powell the RRAC Player of the Week after going for 27pts, 8rebs, 6assts and 4 stls. Connor Ouellette also returns for the Eagles and will be looking to get a big win tonight. USAO comes in at 2-0 after playing a couple exhibition games mixed in with their NAIA games. They had a couple close calls with a couple Heart of America teams as they went on the road to defeat Evangel 61-60 and then turned around and beat MidAmerica Nazarene 91-87 at home. All-American Cameron Hines has gotten off to a bit of a slow start to the season, but do-it-all guard, Stephon Hall has been really good! Should be a tight one down in Texas tonight!
Women’s Games of the Day
#8 Wayland Baptist vs #23 Loyola (LA) 7pm CT
This is Loyola’s first actual game of the season after playing D1’s Tulane and LSU. Tonight they get #8 Wayland Baptist. They are a pretty balanced group led by Tay Cannon. Tonight they will face a 4-0 Wayland team that has a Top 25 win over #19 Clarke (IA). They are led by 1st Team All-American, Kaylee Edgemon. Should be a fun game down in Texas tonight!
#7 Carroll vs #22 Bushnell – 7pm CT
Bushnell comes in at 0-2 on the season. However, those losses were to #1 Westmont and @ Montana Tech. The road doesn’t get any easier tonight however as they finish their trip to Montana facing off with #7 Carroll. Carroll is 3-1 with their only defeat coming at the hands of #5 Southeastern (FL). They also played an exhibition against Montana State in which they lost by just 9pts. Danielle Wagner and Christine Denny have been in this lineup for awhile now. They will look to push Carroll to their first Top 25 win of the season.
