2020-21 NSAA Standings

Mayville State (8-3 5-2 NSAA)-Split their conference doubleheader this weekend. First the Comets picked up a 78-67 victory over (RV) Valley City, Latrelle Franklin led all scorers with 15 points. Mayville fell to Dickinson on day two 80-77, Thomas Gieske had 18 points off the bench to lead the Comets.

Bellevue (13-11,6-3 NSAA)-Split their conference weekend. The Bruins 76-56 win over Viterbo, Jaylen Wiltz led all scorers with 19 points. The Bruins then dropped game two of their doubleheader to Waldorf 67-64, Eric Pierce and Jemeil King each had 13 points to lead the Bruins.  

(RV) Valley City (12-4 4-3 NSAA)-The Vikings split their conference weekend. Friday the VCSU fell on the road to Mayville 78-67, Jalen Addison led the Vikings with 13 points. Valley City bounced back with a 88-66 victory over Presentation, Eddie Oyet and Chris Thompson each had 15 points to lead all scorers.

Dickinson State (7-10 4-3 NSAA)- Swept their conference weekend for second week in a row. The BlueHawks defeated Presentation 75-60, Bryce Knox and Ajdin Toskic each had 18 points to lead the team. Dickinson State continued their hot streak with an 80-77 win over Mayville State, Bryce Knox led all scorers with 28. 

Dakota State (6-10 4-3 NSAA)-The Trojans went 0-2 this past weekend. The Trojans fell to Waldorf 69-64, Josh McGreal led Dakota State with 18 points. Dakota State then fell to Viterbo 69-53, Gairges Daow led the Trojams with 15 points.

Viterbo (6-6 3-4 NSAA)-Split their conference weekend, On Friday the V-Hawks fell to Bellevue 76-56, Jack Monis had 16 points to lead the V-Hawks. Saturday Viterbo rebounded with a 69-53 win over Dakota State, Robert Cunitz and Monis each had 18 points to lead all scorers.   

Waldorf (4-11 3-4 NSAA)-Had a huge weekend sweeping their conference opponents. First the Warriors took down Dakota State 69-64, Chet Helming led all scorers with 24 points. Waldorf capped the weekend off with a 67-64 win over Bellevue Lorenzo Smith with 17 points. It should be noted that Waldorf was without the conferences leading scorer Quincy Minor Jr for both games.

Presentation (3-17 0-7 NSAA)-Went 0-2 on the weekend. The Saints fell to Dickinson 75-60, Ian Kelly continues to be a bright spot for PC he led all scorers with 25 points. In the second day of the weekend doubleheader Presentation fell to (RV) Valley City 88-66, Kelly again led the Saints in scoring with 14. ย 


Pomโ€™s Power Rankings

  1. Mayville- BIG win over Valley City, but a tough loss to Dickinson will have to wait less than a week for redemption
  2. (RV) Valley City State-Split their weekend, get another crack at Mayville on Saturday
  3. Bellevue- Tough loss to Waldorf, but still in the hunt for a conference title.
  4. Dickinson-Currently the hottest team in the conference
  5. Viterbo- Split the weekend canโ€™t write this team off.
  6. Waldorf– Looked to have turn the corner, picked up a big weekend sweep without their leading scorer.
  7. Dakota State- Rough weekend, need to respond on their home floor this weekend.
  8. Presentation-A team that has some good pieces but needs to learn how to win.
