The Daily Dive is your deep dive into the news and notes from around the NAIA Hoops World. Every day we will highlight some of the top headlines, conference updates, player accolades, coaching milestones and more. This used to be our Morning Bullet Points series. We went away from it this year, as others were doing similar things and we didn’t want to step on any toes. At the request of many, we have elected to bring it back for the second half of the season. Feel free to DM us on Twitter (@NAIAHoopsReport) or send an email to naiahoopsreport@gmail.com to recommend stories to be included into this segment.

Sundays tend to be pretty slow around the NAIA, so there weren’t much for games yesterday. The Frontier Conference had the back half of their back to back conference games, Lewis-Clark State finished up their Arizona trip and LSU-Alexandria had one last tune up before RRAC play.

Rundown from yesterday’s games:

#7 Lewis-Clark State went 3-1 on their Arizona trip. They finished the trip yesterday with a 76-50 win over Park-Gilbert. This is a team that has a ton of returners, and is so well coached.

The Frontier Conference is off and running. #14 Providence was the preseason favorite to win league and have looked the part early.

Plenty of good conference games on tap for today. One unique set up comes to us from the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference. They are set to do “Pod Play” today through Thursday.

Talladega will host this weeks men GCAC play, starting with the Noon CT game between #23 Xavier and Tougaloo. All of today’s games will be online via Talladega website – Watch Live

The Women’s Pod is hosted by Xavier. Xavier has done a great job setting up a website to view the games in their pod each day. You can visit that page HERE! The page has the full schedule and links to watch games.
