Wright’s Wonder Rankings

Harris-Stowe State (Mo)- Deshawn Munson is making a strong case for the early season NAIA Player of the Year. However, the fact that he leads the team is all five categories leaves a lot to wonder about the rest of the team. If the Hornets have a strong supporting cast, they could reclaim the AMC throne.

Missouri Baptist- The Spartans have some key wins under their belt early in the season, along with a diverse attack to win in a variety of ways. The team can make it hard for any opponent, and are a strong contender for the AMC title.

Central Baptist (Mo)- After an 0-2 start, the Mustangs seem to have caught their rhythm and won four straight. The race for the AMC title is getting really competitive, and this team isn’t going to back down

Columbia College (Mo)-The Cougars have impressed early in their season so far. The AMC race has a small margin of error and I feel the Cougars have the team to tab the conference title.

Lyon College (Ark)-The Scots are a total mystery, as they will make their season debut in January.

William Woods (Mo)- The Owls are also a total mystery as they won’t make their season debut until January.

Williams Baptist (Ark)- The Eagles have looked less than impressive to start the season. When conference play starts, I don’t know if the team will have the consistency to compete with the teams listed above.

Health Sciences & Pharmacy (Mo)- The Eutectics have some nice pieces, but ultimately not enough to win in the AMC.

Hannibal-LaGrange (Mo)- The Trojans have struggled early, and it seems they may get overwhelmed come conference play.
