In the 1st Top 25 matchup of the young NAIA season, No. 8 Northwestern (IA) jumped out to a 27pt lead on No. 24 Friends (KS). Friends would storm back, but the 27pts was just too big of a mountain to climb and NWC picks up the Top 25 road win, 95-87. (Game Recap)

Coach Colton Kooima picked up his first win as a head coach in the Northwestern win. Tim Macallister (Coastal Georgia), Mitch McMullen (York) and Jim Boone (Missouri Valley) also picked up their first wins as head coach at their respective programs.

After a scary fall on a dunk vs OLLU on opening night, The Master’s, Avery Jackson wasn’t back in action last night. Hoping he is alright.
