Get those screens ready. This is going to be a fun day of NAIA hoops!

Thursday recap

Georgetown makes its mark at the Remy Classic

No. 7 Georgetown 74, No. 3 Arizona Christian 58. The Tigers took the opening matchup between two national contenders by 16 points in Parkville. Holding Arizona Christian to 58 is a result that deserves attention, and Georgetown does not get much time to enjoy it: LSU Shreveport is next at 3 p.m. Central today.

That is quite a two-day test at the Remy Williams – Live Like Remy Classic. Thursday delivered the first big result. Friday gives us another matchup worth clearing the afternoon for. Official GSAC result

A BIG Friday slate

Eight Games of the Day, two Top 25 showdowns and plenty of reasons to keep the schedule handy. These early cross-conference games give us useful head-to-head comparisons as the season develops. We are not going to pretend October has settled anything, but we are going to enjoy the matchups!

All listed times below are Central.

St Thomas at No. 2 Freed-Hardeman at noon

Start your afternoon in Henderson. St. Thomas brings the offense that produced a 99–71 win at Bethel (TN) on Wednesday, with Zyier Beverly, Brandon Moore and Nigle Cook all reaching 20 points. Freed-Hardeman presents a much different road challenge.

This is a strong way to open the day. Watch on YouTube

No. 7 Georgetown vs No. 9 LSU Shreveport at 3 PM

The Remy Classic keeps delivering. After Thursday’s win over Arizona Christian, Georgetown turns right around to face LSU Shreveport at Park’s Breckon Sports Center.

A top-10 showdown on a neutral floor, and one of the first games to circle on this slate. Watch on UEN

Oregon Tech vs OUAZ at 3 PM

The Cascade and GSAC meet in Prescott at the ERAU Halloween Classic. This is a neutral-site matchup with plenty of appeal, and it gives us another useful look at how programs from two strong western leagues stack up.

RV Indiana Tech vs No. 5 Indiana Wesleyan at 4:30 PM

The CL/WHAC Challenge brings these two together at Spring Arbor. It is another neutral-site game, not an Indiana Wesleyan home date, and a great afternoon matchup between familiar regional powers.

Cougar Sports Network

RV Northwestern vs RV William Penn at 5 PM

Two programs that make this an easy Games of the Day selection. William Penn comes off Wednesday’s 83–77 win over Central, led by Donovan Rodriguez’s 25 points and Alif Bass’s 22.

The retained schedule places this matchup at Governors State, not at William Penn. Tip is at 5 p.m. Central, on YouTube. Host YouTube channel

No. 1 Grace vs No. 25 Morningside at 5:30 PM

This one belongs near the top of the watch list. The preseason No. 1 meets No. 25 at Briar Cliff, giving Friday another Top 25 showdown on a neutral floor.

Tip is at 5:30 p.m. Central, on the GPAC Network. GPAC Network at Briar Cliff

No. 19 Concordia at Bethel at 6 PM

Concordia’s 89–61 win at Kansas Wesleyan gives the Bulldogs momentum heading into North Newton. Can they carry that shooting into another road gym, or does Bethel make this a much different kind of night?

That is why these back-to-back road tests are worth watching. KCAC Network at Bethel

No. 16 College of Idaho vs RV Montana Tech at 6:30 PM

One more matchup to keep a screen open for. College of Idaho and Montana Tech meet on a neutral court at Montana Western’s Straugh Gymnasium in Dillon, not at Montana Tech.
