Other Top News and Notes
- If you are paying attention at home, one thank you, and two, a quick humble brag, that our pick to win it or our Upset Special pick, has won every tournament thus far, except for 1! Not too shabby!
- Oklahoma City Head Coach, Sam Kohnke, after OCU won the SAC Title, joins Rocky Mountain Head Coach, Danny Neville and Langston Head Coach, Chris Wright, as the only coaches, since the merger, to take two different programs to the NAIA National Tournament.
- Speaking of coaches who have taken two different programs to National Tournaments (one before the merger), Austin Johnson of Lewis-Clark State, faces his old squad, Corban in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Title Game! LC state, who are the CCC Regular Season Champs, beat defending National Champs, College of Idaho in the semis. Corban, the 7-seed, knocked off Bushnell for their 2nd straight road dub in the CCC Tourney!
- Johnson (TN) is returning to the NAIA National Championships as they upset top-seed Pikeville in the AAC Championship!
- Dalton State are your SSAC Champions. The Roadrunners were a Top 15 team at one point in the season but were riddled by injury and saw a midseason collapse. They are now healthy and playing great basketball.
- Tougaloo and SUNO both reached the HBCUAC Championship and no matter who wins today, they both punched their tickets.
- Same goes with Georgia Gwinnett and Arkansas Baptist, who will meet in the CAC Championship today.
- The Keiser/Ave Maria Round 3, went just like the other two, with the road team coming out victorious. Ave Maria is your Sun Conference Champions!
