Championship Game Breakdown
The short of it is that Loyola and Faulkner have been the best two teams in the league all season long. While they suffered a few defeats, they seemed to of been in a tier of their own, so it’s no surprise to see them in the Title game. They were Co-Champions of the Regular Season, so why not settle it on the court!! The defending National Champions, Loyola, have put together a better year than maybe most expected. With all that they lost, the Wolfpack are back in a familiar position as they fight for back-to-back SSAC Tournament Titles. Faulkner, though they haven’t won a National Title, have made it to Kansas City and the Round of 16 in each of the past two seasons. CJ Hines is the real deal and Trace Hill and others have helped show the depth of this Eagles team. These are two teams who are set to make deep runs again at Nationals, but first, they get to settle once and for all, who the best team in the SSAC is!!
