Men’s Games of the Day
7:30pm: 24 Cumberland @ Freed-Hardemanย
Heading to the Mid-South for our first selection. FHU has won 7-straight games headed into this one and hosts a Cumberland team who has struggled a bit as of late losing 3 of it’s last 4 games. FHU is feeling disrespected from the polls and have a big opportunity ahead tonight. They are a balanced scoring team led by Geraldo Lane and Hunter Scurlock. Cumberland will counter with TJ Stargell and Ty’Reek Johnson. This is honestly a game that both teams need to win! Should add to the excitement of what should be a good one!
8:30pm: RV OUAZ @ 3 Arizona Christian
The GSAC has already seen its share of madness on the season. There are currently 5 teams with 1-loss in GSAC Play. Then you have OUAZ, who sits behind that grouping at 2-2 in GSAC play. We have mentioned it before, but only 6 teams make it this year to the GSAC Tourney, so that race is one to watch! ACU, the preseason No. 1 team in the NAIA, is loaded with talent, and playing at home here. To beat them you have to compete on the glass with them and OUAZ boasts the top rebounding duo in the NAIA in Josiah De’laCerda and Devin Collins. They “play fast” and are capable of giving ACU some troubles. ACU is really well coached though and you have to expect they will be ready for this one tonight!
Women’s Games of the Day
4:30pm: 24 Cumberlands (KY) @ 3 Campbellsville
The Mid-South is loaded with top tier teams. Campbellsville has been nearly unbeatable at home the past few seasons and Cumberlands already has losses AT #1 Thomas More and AT #20 Georgetown. The good news is after tonight, the toughest part of their schedule will be over with. Campbellsville has National Championship hopes and this is a tough week for them as they host two ranked oppoents, starting with Cumberlands tonight.ย
6pm:ย RV Science & Arts @ 20 Mid-America Christianย
A battle for 1st place on the line tonight in the Sooner Athletic Conference! MACU is coming off their first loss of the season and will look to rebound at home against a 9-0 USAO squad. USAO has really been good defensively holding teams to just 35.2% on the year. It is early, but a tough road win tonight would be huge in helping to win a SAC Title this season! MACU IS 6-0 inside of Gaulke Arena though and they too, have high hopes for a SAC Title.ย
