• Good Morning NAIA Hoop Nation!! We are at the point of the season where most of the games each day are conference matchups. Each day we will look to highlight one of the NAIA leagues in this segment as well. Today, along with our Circled Games, we will focus on the American Midwest Conference.
  • DI Recap:
  • RV MSU-Northern 58 – #23 Carroll (MT) 69
    • We had this game circled, because Carroll had won 8 of their last 9 games headed into this one, and are starting to play great basketball. The Fighting Saints did what they do best, and controlled the pace of the game. The game was tied at 34 a piece at half, but the defense held strong in the 2nd half, as they were able to come away with an 11 point win to remain undefeated at home. Dane Warp continues to be impressive as he scored 25 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and dished out 5 assists in the win. Big one on Saturday for Carroll, as they hit the road to play #7 Providence (MT). • Lyon (AR) 62 – Freed-Hardeman 78
    • Our AMC circled game from last night featured two teams that have quietly been having good seasons. Lyon is coming off of a big win over #18 Central Baptist, and how about the job 1st year head coach Drew Stutts has done at Freed-Hardeman?!? FHU went 7-23 last season, but Coach Stutts has the Lions currently sitting at 9-3 on the year, including 7-0 at home, and now six straight wins. This was a really good game early, but FHU went on a mini run to end the 1st half up 37-31. The 2nd half was dominated by the Lions. Konstantin Dotsenko was dominant in this one, as he had a game high 27 points for Freed. Game Recap|Box Score
  • Williams Baptist 78 – #18 Central Baptist 84
    • Central Baptist used a MONSTER game (20 points, 14 rebounds) from Simon Okolue to bounce back from their first conference loss of the season. Williams Baptist battled back from an early deficit to lead 40-39 at half. The 2nd half went back and forth for almost the entire 20 minutes, but CBC controlled the last few minutes of the game to hold on for the win. Game Recap|Box Score

    • William Woods has kept games close, but have been on the short end of games as of late. Park moves to 11-2 on the season, and stays in the AMC hunt with the win. Blue Johnson led the way with 19 points, 7 assists in the win. Game Recap|Box Score
  • RV Harris-Stowe 86 – Lindenwood-Belleville 69
    • Harris-Stowe used to have the best kept secret in NAIA with Deshawn Munson, but after winning another AMC Player of the Week award, he is no longer “under the radar”. He just missed out on his FOURTH Triple-Double of the season last night, as he finished with 21 points, 15 rebounds, and 8 assists in the win. Game Recap|Box Score
  • Missouri Baptist 76 – STL Pharmacy 64
    • Missouri Baptist won their 3rd straight game last night as they led wire to wire. The Spartans continue to get great play out of Jahmouri Robinson, who led three Spartans in double figures with 21 points. • #8 Marian 65 – #15 Spring Arbor 67
    • The up and down season of Spring Arbor continues as they get a much needed win over #8 Marian. Fans get every dollar worth when they attend a Spring Arbor game, as they have spent the better half of the last two seasons playing in close games. They were able to control the pace, and use their defense to slow down Marian in this one. They were led by Payton DeWildt with a game high 18 points in the win. Game Recap|Box Score
  • Bryan 71 – Point 64
    • Two teams who are in the top half of the Appalachian Athletic Conference, and still in the hunt. Bryan got off to a blister start and built their lead to 11 at half time. Points offense started to click better in the 2nd Half, and they were able to cut into Bryan’s lead, but came up short. Noah Mulaski had a big night for Bryan with a career high 26 points in the win.
