  • Good Morning NAIA Hoops Nation! It was another great day of games yesterday. It’s sad that after today’s games, we won’t have any action until the 26th, but I also understand how important this time off is both physically and mentally, for both coaches and players.
  • NAIA DI Game Recaps:
  • #12 LSU-Alexandria 75 – William Carey 77
    • William Carey’s defense came up huge in the 2H of this game. After being down 45-43 at the half, and by as much as 11 early in the 2H, William Carey held one of the best scoring offenses in NAIA to just 9 points over the last 12:04. Cameron Douglas had a huge night with 26 points and 19 rebounds in the win. Game Recap|Box Score
  • RV Harris-Stowe 90 – Missouri Baptist 96
    • Missouri Baptist gets a nice conference home win against a good Harris-Stowe team. Deshawn Munson continues to play like the AMC Player of the Year, as he had 37 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists in the loss. Missouri Baptist had 3 guys with 20+ points, led by Jahmouri Robinson’s 24. Game Recap|Box Score
  • NAIA DII Game Recaps
  • 5 College of Idaho 70 – #18 Southern Oregon 49
    • Big weekend conference road sweep for the Yotes, as they get back to back road wins over Top 25 foes to help put them in a great spot a top the Cascade Conference. They remain pretty balanced offensively, but their defensive effort this weekend was very impressive! Game Recap|Box Score
  • #7 Dakota Wesleyan 78 – #11 Ave Maria 56
    • Both of these teams were coming off a Top 25 loss the night before, and were looking for a huge bounce back win. Dakota Wesleyan proved to be the better team as they cranked up the defense holding Ave Maria to just 35.2% from the field, and just 21.1% from 3. Game Recap|Box Score
  • We had two big milestones that were hit this weekend. First off a big congrats to Park (MO) Head Coach Jason Kline on his 400th career win!
  • IU-South Bend guard Sergio Diaz reached the 1K Club yesterday! Congrats on your 1,000th career point Sergio!
  • Kyle Mangas just doing Kyle Mangas type stuff, by hitting a game winning 3 last night to beat NAIA DI Shawnee State. The kid is good at basketball in case you didn’t already know.
  • We will end today’s bullet points with a Congratulations to the NAIA Football National Champions, the Morningside Mustangs. Their win last night gave them back to back National Titles!
