Good morning NAIA hoops fans! As you’re sipping on your coffee this morning let us catch you up on what is happening around the NAIA Hoops world!

  • The Montana Tech Orediggers become the 3rd NAIA to defeat a D1 program this year. It’s always fun for us fans of the NAIA, but what an awesome experience and moment for everyone associated with Montana Tech! Congratulations to the coaches and players on a great win!
  • The Orediggers got 24 points from Sindou Diallo, and 15 points, 6 rebounds from Taylor England in the win.
  • Not to be left out of the NCAA fun, Tougaloo went to NCAA D2 LeMoyne Owen College, and beat them 100-86. Ledarius Woods 26 points paced three Bulldogs in double figures. Stanley Williams (22), and Justin Johnson (21) were the other two in double figures.
  • Pikeville (KY) Head Coach Kelly Wells became the Hoopdirt.com NAIA Coach of the Week.
  • Only one conference game today, and it should be a good one. #19 St Francis (IL) hosts a good St Ambrose (IA) squad in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference game.
  • We will finish with this, if you’re new the site, go follow @CascadeHoopTalk on twitter, and listen to his podcasts on NAIA DII hoops. He does a great job, especially on the Top 25 shows.
