McPherson (3-2) comes into this one after a big 113-71 win over Baker on Wednesday night. They do have one true road win this season, a 77-66 win over Doane in the 1st game of the year! The Bulldogs have a balanced attack with five guys averaging double figures. Charles Snyder (14.0ppg/6.6rpg) leads the Bulldog attack with Dash Johnson, Korbin Gunn, KJ Marshall and Dallas Metzger all averaging 10+ ppg. Southwestern (4-0) comes into this game undefeated and is receiving votes in the latest NAIA Top 25 Coach’s Poll. Wyatt Bell averages 22.8ppg to lead the way. They are outscoring their opponents by an astounding 34.3ppg so far this season. Little bit of a trap game for Southwestern as 3 of their next 4 games are against Top 25 or RV teams. Expect the team who can control the pace to win this one. McPherson is going to try and slow the pace down and control the tempo. If Southwestern gets the game sped up, it will be tough to win on the road.

Evangel (3-1) is coming off of a 31pt road win over rival College of the Ozarks. They have had 9 days to get ready for a tough road game against #17 Friends. Garrett Davault has been really good averaging 21.5ppg. Drew McMillin and Bryce Ware also avg double figures. Friends (3-1) hasn’t lost since the 1st game of the season against #3 Northwestern (IA). They have challenged themselves early and with three straight wins, they get two home games against Evangel and #16 OKWU to start KCAC play. They enter this game with five guys averaging double figures, led by Cahlese Lee (15.8) and Collin Maclin (14.0ppg). Randy Woolf, Jr, Devin Davis and Ringo Deng are the remaining players scoring 10+ppg. The Falcons are 7th in the country in 3-pointers made and 8th in assists per game and 12th in steals per game. These are currently, the two highest scoring offenses in the KCAC.

#11 Saint Mary comes into this game basically fitting an entire season already into their first five games as they have a Top 25 win over Langston, a RV win over Georgia Gwinnett, two buzzer beating wins and two road wins. The common theme, thus far, is WINS as they are 5-0 and come in ranked 11th in the NAIA. They are led by the trio of Cam Edwards (18.0ppg), Kaeden Bonner (17.6ppg) and Jordan Brown (14.8ppg). They have had a tough schedule and have an average margin of victory of just 5.8ppg. It doesn’t get any easier as Thresher Gym should be loud and packed! Bethel’s only loss on the season was against D3 Nebraska Wesleyan. A game in which the zone gave the fits. The Threshers are one of the best teams at driving and getting to the rim. Bethel is led by our KCAC Preseason POY selection, Carmelo Yakubu. In three games vs USM last season he went for 25/10/5, 19/9/2 and 22/7/6. Trenton Patterson and Rustan Griffen also average double figures for Bethel. This game is going to be all about valuing possessions as you shouldn’t expect there to be a ton of up and down play. USM has played in a lot of close games already. We expect this one to come down to the final few possessions as well!
